Strap, Spring Bar & Fitting
Replacement and fitting of straps, spring bars, and clasps across leather, rubber, and bracelet links. Each fitting is checked for security and even wear before handover.

Vintage Sympathetic Restoration

Common enquiries
Do I need an appointment to bring my watch in?
An appointment is preferred for assessments and restoration work, so we can give your piece the time it needs. Strap fittings can often be accommodated on a walk-in basis — a quick call ahead is always appreciated.
How long does a diagnostic assessment take?
Most assessments are completed within three to five working days. Once complete, we share a written summary and wait for your decision before any further work is started.
What happens if I decide not to proceed after the assessment?
The assessment fee covers the inspection and written report regardless of outcome. Your watch is returned to you in the same condition it arrived. There is no obligation to continue.
How long does a vintage restoration take?
Vintage restorations typically take four to ten weeks, depending on the movement and the availability of period-correct parts. We keep owners informed throughout and never rush to meet an artificial deadline.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work across a wide range of mechanical and automatic movements from Swiss, Japanese, and European makers. If your piece falls outside our scope, we'll say so during the initial conversation rather than accept work we cannot do well.
Is my watch insured while in your care?
Pieces left with us are held securely. We recommend that owners maintain their own insurance for high-value or irreplaceable watches. Details of our care procedures are shared on request.
